Custom Photo Images began in September 1991, founded from a passion for creating super-sized fine art prints and delivering exceptional image quality. What started as a professional photo lab in Boca Raton quickly earned a reputation for excellence among photographers, artists, and creative professionals throughout South Florida.
In 1992, Courtenay Gilbert joined the company, bringing her talents as a professional photographer, printer, and designer. Under her creative direction, the business expanded its services to include custom fine art printing and custom framing. Courtenay’s keen eye for design and extensive framing expertise help clients achieve beautiful, personalized presentations tailored to their style, needs, and budgets, with special pricing available for artists and designers.
From its beginnings as a traditional darkroom and film processing operation, Custom Photo Images has continually evolved into a full-service digital lab, professional photography studio, and in-house custom framing shop. The company remains committed to producing stunning imagery, premium-quality products, and exceptional customer service. In 2022, the business was rebranded as “Custom Photo and Framing” to better reflect its broad range of creative services.
In 2025, Courtenay Gilbert became the owner of Custom Photo and Framing, continuing the company’s long-standing tradition of craftsmanship, creativity, and personalized service while leading the business into its next chapter.
