Custom Photo Images started as Peter Lorber's self-built warehouse darkroom, where he printed super-sized fine art prints. Disappointed with the printing quality of local labs, fellow photographers encouraged Peter to open a professional photo lab in Boca Raton with his wife, Addie, in September 1991. The lab flourished, adding Courtenay Gilbert, a professional photographer, printer, and designer, to the team in 1992. Courtenay became Peter's creative partner, and together, they expanded the business to offer custom fine art printing and custom framing services. With Courtenay's keen eye for design and expert framers, the frame shop provides clients with beautiful custom frames for their specific needs and budgets, offering special pricing for artists and designers. Over the years, Custom Photo Images has evolved from a darkroom and film processing operation to a full-service digital lab, photography studio, and in-house custom framing. Courtenay, Peter, and Addie work as a tight-knit group to provide customers with beautiful images, the highest quality products, and professional service. In 2022, the business changed its name to 'Custom Photo and Framing' to reflect its comprehensive services.
